The NSW Department of Education, as part of the Child Protection Strategy, requires that volunteers in schools complete a Declaration for Volunteers form and provide Government approved photo ID as proof of identity prior to volunteering at the school. This form is available from the office. Anyone who volunteers to work with children in schools is required to complete this form. If you anticipate that during this year you will have direct contact with students, e.g. reading groups etc, please complete the form and provide the photo ID and documentation to the office as soon as possible. Completed forms are kept in a secure place in the office.
A Working With Children Check is NOT required for parent/carer volunteers.
