Reporting

Term 1

Early in the term all teachers conduct an information session to explain classroom practices and expectations.

Term 2

Written reports are issued late in Term 2. Parent/teacher interviews are organised to discuss children's progress, achievement and effort.

Term 4

A written report is issued towards the end of the Term 4 and interviews are held at the request of either the class teacher or the parent.

 

If the need arises, parents are welcome to contact the class teacher to arrange a suitable time for an interview to discuss their child's progress at any time of the year.

 

Schools are required to report meeting set guidelines. Student achievement will be reported using grades from A – E for Years 1 – 6. Teacher comments will also be included.

Reports will meet stated requirements for using plain language, reporting twice yearly, including academic and non academic learning and reporting in grades, from A to E.

A –        Outstanding     

B –         High    

C –        Sound

D –        Basic   

E –         Limited

 There will be written comments from teachers.

 The  "C" grade is equivalent to the expected standard.
